Shaping the future of Cobargo

The Cobargo Tourist and Business Association has secured funding to support community engagement and strategic planning to create a vision and action plan for the future of Cobargo and Quaama as part of a 10 Year Action Plan.

This plan can provide a shared directionfor the district, while supporting future funding applications.

In keeping with the Celebrate Cobargo initiative, this project seeks to bring the broader community together to align efforts and investments through development of a common vision, supported by a smart and achievable set of actions. The CTBA have engaged local Bega-based firm, NGH to support the engagement and write the plan.

NGH is working with the CTBA to gather to gather community and business inputs into the plan via discussions with community leaders, a drop in information and planning session on 13 August, through an online survey, and review of associated plans and strategies for the area.

This project was initiated by the Bega Valley Shire Business Forum, who have been coordinating development of roadmaps to disaster recovery, future growth and long-term resilience for the 6business communities in the South Coast. These activities are funded by the by the NSW Government’s Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund.
